Why Not Love Running? Forever!

Why not love running? Forever!

As it happens, running is a very popular sport with positive and beneficial side effects. While running has been linked to promoting health its repetitive nature often leads to contraindications that limit our ability to continue running. Research has reported that as many as 79% of runners will sustain a lower body injury in their running career. On the other hand it has also provided us with techniques and assessments that can drastically reduce the risk associated with repetitive movements.

We believe a gap exists between those who study injury and performance, the available resources and programs and, the individuals attempting to build a healthy lifestyle. As the leader in exercise physiology, improving performance through proper training is imperative to our mission.

We strongly believe that understanding where you are as an individual is key to determining how you can move forward. Furthermore, we believe that such a gap exists because of an unclear message that has reached the popular lexicon surrounding running and performance. Mainly that you must run, and run lots to perform well. While there is truth in this message it unfortunately glazes over a very important part of the message – injury prevention and maintenance of an activity that you love. It is hard to perform when you are sidelined with an overuse injury, even more so if that injury could have been prevented.

We created a solution.

Seeing the need for a clear and concise message, our professionals have refined a procedure that is not only specific to your individual needs, it is built from the ground up to ensure that your safety and performance work in parallel with a progression designed for you!

No matter the state that you are currently in, FitMetabolism can offer you the correct services designed with quality for your growth on the road. Each program has a combination of gait analysis, strength and flexibility testing as well as training designs and assistance with progression following the initial assessment. Not only do we offer a starting block based off scientific principles, our staff is fully geared to moving you forward – safely.
