Jennifer Powter – FitSpecialist
Jennifer has been in the world of sport and fitness since she was a little girl playing soccer. It was not surprising that she went on to become an Exercise Physiologist with a Master of Science degree from the University of Victoria. As a multi-time marathon runner, she’s been able to practice and implement her own training programs as well as becoming a certified life coach.
It was her entry into motherhood, however, that proved to be the most rewarding and challenging position yet. Despite knowing all she did about exercise and nutrition, the pounds didn’t come off after her second baby. Soon, this Ironman athlete realized firsthand what it was like to be overweight. Putting everything she knew into action, Jen did a radical life redesign, got back into the gym, changed how she ate and dropped the 30 pounds. To celebrate, she competed in her second Ironman event.
Today, Jen is a certified Get Ripped & AFLCA spin & step instructor who teaches numerous fitness classes and inspires all those around her to strive for their best.
